Job Description:

– Responsible for overseeing all financial transactions and resources for the organization.
– Develops a fundraising plan for the organization and targets a few fundraising ideas/targets for the fundraising.
– Constructs a proposal for support from area banks/businesses.
– Strong background Venture capital, Infrastructure funds, Financial Services background. {knowledge on Finance/accounts, if possible}.
– Good articulation/communication and negotiation – Ability/personality to interact with senior fund managers, finance personals.
– Candidate should have a positive attitude and should also be passionate.
– Responsible for the entire due diligence to and work closely with the senior management team in achieving investment goals.

Desired Candidate Profile:

– Be highly motivated and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
– Have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation ss.
– Be well networked, particularly in areas associated with private equity and venture capital deal flow.
– Have a high degree of integrity.
– Have adequate exposure to the Indian Financial Market with an emphasis on Investment Banking and Private Equity / Venture Capital segments, particularly in sourcing / structuring investment opportunities in India.
– Be enthusiastic and motivated with sufficient drive and aggressiveness to identify and source new investment opportunities for the fund.
– Be equipped with the necessary knowledge and insight to be able to identify and structure deals in line with the investment objectives.
– Have a professional experience that is combined with an intrinsic interest in the Indian financial sector.

Desired Characteristics The candidate should have credible contacts with:

– Reputed Financial intermediaries.
– Other key private equity investment advisors / fund managers operating in India.
– Reputed Corporate Advisory / Strategic Consulting / Chartered Accounting / Legal Law firms.
– Regulatory authorities and government circles.

Following would be the critical success factors:

– Proven ability in fundraising process through various channels.
– Knowledge of Real Estate markets.
– Strong networking and relationship management ss.
– Intellectual rigor and thought leadership.
– Managing uncertainty, ambiguity, complexity and change which are acteristics of a start-up organization.
