Job Description: Quality Control (QC) Engineer – Facility Management

Job purpose
Ensure that electrical, mechanical, and facility management services meet contract requirements, approved procedures, and quality standards across the compound.
Key responsibilities
Inspect electrical and mechanical maintenance work, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs.
Verify the condition and operation of equipment such as electrical panels, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, water systems, and fire protection systems.
Review completed work orders, checklists, inspection reports, and maintenance records for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct site inspections of villas, buildings, plant rooms, and common areas; record defects and follow up until they are corrected.
Check that technicians follow approved methods, use suitable materials, and complete work to the required standard.
Support asset verification by checking equipment details, locations, nameplates, and condition against the asset register.
Witness testing and commissioning activities when required, and document the results.
Raise quality observations or nonconformance reports (NCRs), track corrective actions, and verify closure with supporting evidence.
Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, the HSE team, subcontractors, and client representatives on quality matters.
Prepare daily inspection updates and monthly quality reports, including recurring defects and improvement actions.
Qualifications and experience
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems; a primary specialization in either discipline is acceptable.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including facility management operations and quality inspections.
Experience inspecting MEP systems in residential compounds or similar facilities is preferred.
Ability to read drawings, review technical documents, and prepare clear inspection reports.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance, asset registers, snagging, and work order systems.
Key performance expectations
Completed work is inspected promptly, defects are recorded clearly, corrective actions are verified before closure, and quality records remain accurate and up to date.
