Job Description

Regional Purchaser required for a leading Food Retail Chain in Jeddah (Reporting to the Regional Manager) Saudis preferred, Expat candidates should have Transferable Iqama

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Ensures 100% availability of inventory in the warehouse.
2. Works with all departments to deliver better results and success.

Specific Tasks:

1. To place orders with suppliers for all product.
2. To carry out regular quality checks.
3. Takes immediate action on complaints about product quality.
4. Decides on returns to vendors.
5. To ensure maximum speed of inventory turns and minimum inventory days.
6. To check all deliveries from suppliers that are made according to agreed terms and conditions.
7. To check invoices from suppliers and approve them for processing through the Accounting Department.
8. To advice on new items or dropping of existing items.
9. Must participate in the Regional Meeting.

Experience & Package:

The candidate needs to be experienced (5 to 10 years in the business) and should have worked in a similar capacity at leading retailers in the region.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience

About the Company:

We are a newly established food retailer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have launched our retail chain in Jeddah.

We are part of a large diversified group with interests in Food, Construction, etc.
