Job Purpose:
Organize, coordinate, and controls activities of his department to achieve the highest degree of
support for the programs under his responsibility, with the highest quality standards, low cost, and high degree of safety .Direct all activities regarding engine part repairs and engine troubleshooting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Direct, Control, approve or develop engineering technical reports (DRs, E.O, Technical
drawings) regarding engine inspection and repair when they are not covered from the available
technical orders or when alternative solutions are demanded.
• Coordinate and participate for solving production issues and engine testing issues
• Coordinate and participate for the development of new program for updating and supporting
new engine overhaul capabilities, Cost effective reports and engine upgrade programs
• Participate in technical investigations of failed parts and incidents and provide final technical
report
• Coordinate and control the department activities targeting the maximum utilization of the
available personnel and equipment taking the necessary steps to achieve quality, safety and
avoid accidents in the workplace
• Coordinates and evaluates manufactory technical deviations (CTO,SBs, upgrade…..) and
recommends the method of application and their necessity.
• Recommends more efficient methods of department operations according to standard company
• Participate in the development of the annual target of the directory and manage the available
personnel to cover efficiently the set target
• Participate in the completions of the directorate annual budget by proposing his department
economical requirements
• Participate in staff meetings, prepare reports documents needs in personnel and material, and
evaluates personnel performance
• Programs the workload in his department to support production requirements
• Participate in seminar regarding the latest technological development from the engine
manufactures affecting parts integrity or …..
• Proposes training programs for improving department personnel technical knowledge
• Purpose needs in personnel and material in area of his responsibility
• Follow up and support commercial activities forms the technical part of contracts with
customers and cooperates with OEM
• Follow up and coordinates all activities assigned by the directorate support production in the most efficient way.
Education Required / Minimum Experienced Required / Special Skill / Training Courses /
Certificates / Licenses Required:
• Aeronautical Engineering degree/ or other relevant aerospace engineering equivalent
qualifications.
• In depth knowledge of engines and systems and depot maintenance practices is mandatory.
• Knowledge of a range of engineering functions and procedures.
• A practical and logical approach to problem-solving.
• Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Team working and people management skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure and take on new challenges.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with CAD programs a plus.
