Job Description:
1. Financial Record Keeping transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions in the company’s general ledger, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
2. Accounts payable/receivable: Manage and track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that payments are made and received on time.
3. Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate books: Ensure that all financial records are up to date and accurately reflect the company’s transactions.
Reconcile accounts: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
4. VAT Compliance
VAT reporting: Calculate and report Value Added Tax (VAT) in compliance with Saudi Arabia’s tax laws. Prepare VAT returns and submit them to the tax authorities within the required deadlines.
VAT invoicing: Ensure that VAT is correctly applied to invoices and that all necessary information is included as per local regulations.
5. Prepare Financial Statements
Monthly and annual statements: Prepare accurate financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
6. Payroll Management
Process payroll: Ensure that employee salaries are processed on time and accurately, including calculating deductions such as social insurance and income tax (if applicable).
7. Cash Flow Management
Monitor cash flow: Ensure that the company has enough liquidity to meet its operational needs. Keep track of incoming and outgoing cash flows.
8. Audit Support
Assist with audits: Provide necessary documentation and information to external or internal auditors during audits.
Key Skills Required:
Knowledge of Saudi Arabian tax laws and regulations, especially VAT and Zakat.
Proficiency in accounting software: Familiarity with commonly used accounting software in Saudi Arabia.
Proficiency in Excel: Ability to analyzes in excel like XLookup, VLOOKUP etc.
Attention to detail: Accuracy in recording financial data is crucial.
Analytical skills: Ability to analyze financial data and provide valuable insights to management.
Communication skills: Ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
