IT Help Desk Specialist

Job Summary
We are looking for a competent Help desk technician to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them.
An excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be user-oriented and patient to deal with difficult users.
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
Write training manuals.
Train computer users.
Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Clean up computers.
Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved.
Gain feedback from users about computer usage.
Requirements
Proven experience as a help desk technician or other user support role
Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Proficiency in English
Excellent communication skills

MCSA, CCNA Network+ are required
