Job Description:
Sybase ASE admin, required for a company in Saudi Arabia.
– Minimum Requirements 6+ years of managing complex high-availability high transaction volume database environments with Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ Multiplex, and Sybase Replication Server.
– Ability to work independently in a fast paced implementation environment.
– Knowledge of Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ database architecture.
– Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex issues on Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, Sybase Replication Server.
– Demonstrated ability to create Bourne or perl scripts to assist with database administration tasks.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Working knowledge of UNIX OS, Additional Experience Requirements: SQL Server/MySQL,SAN technologies, including EMC and Hitachi, Real Time Replication from Sybase ASE -> Sybase IQ.Deploying Multi-Site Availability and Warm Standby Replication, SQL development.
