Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement process for the company. The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for sourcing products and services, negotiating prices and contracts, and ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of procurement practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Job Responsibilities:
-Research, source and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors and contractors based on quality, price, delivery and service capabilities.
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and objectives.
-Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible value for the company.
-Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
-Process and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.- Resolve any issues or problems related to procurement, including quality, pricing, delivery and service issues.
-Work closely with other departments to ensure that procurement needs are met, and that all purchases are within budget.
-Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
-Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in procurement practices.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or aquaculture industry.
-Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Strong analytical and problem

Solving skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with procurement software.
