JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The main responsibilities of the job fall under the following headings:

Technology Strategy and Infrastructure
Work with the Head of Digital Technology (educational role) to ensure that digital strategies and the infrastructure are aligned with the overall vision and educational plan from Nursery to Senior School;

Assist in developing digital strategies that guide the use of technology;

Ensure the network and hardware are capable of supporting operational, curricular, pedagogical, and communication needs; regularly review and recommend improvements;

Support procurement and implementation of tools and applications for educational, administrative, management, and communication functions;

Lead the procurement and application of software systems, hardware, and devices;

Support a 1:1 device strategy, including procurement, setup, rollout, and ongoing support for pupils and parents;

Support the use of isams, ensuring both staff and parents can navigate the system confidently;

Manage servers, networks, firewalls, and other security systems;

Oversee the wifi and telephone systems in coordination with local partners;

Support parental communication strategies through isams and other tools;

Handle technical aspects of events, including digital presentations and AV systems.

IT Service Management and Vendor Relations
Support IT service desk operations;

Develop and maintain IT service catalogues and SLAs;

Maintain effective communication with external vendors.

Educational Support
Collaborate with the Head of Digital Technology and the Senior Leadership Team to embed digital literacy throughout the curriculum.

Security and Business Continuity
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans;

Localise and test robust disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuity during hardware failures, data breaches, or disruptions;

Conduct regular system backups to minimise downtime and ensure data security.

Safeguarding
Maintain a strong firewall strategy and report concerns to the DSL immediately;

Localise IT policies to support a safe digital environment;

Implement technology usage agreements for staff and pupils;

Promote the responsible use of technology and share best practices with leadership;

Support the organisation’s cyber security and data protection measures.

Collaboration and Community
Collaborate with team members to share best practices and strengthen community support;

Assist new staff with onboarding in systems such as iSAMS and Parent Portal;

Support administrative staff with annual data rollovers;

Demonstrate respect, professionalism, and punctuality;

Use Microsoft 365 to manage calendars and schedules.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Degree in Computing, Digital Technology, or a related field (desired)

Proven experience in managing IT and data in an educational setting (essential)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
