Job Description: Accountant
The Accountant with Payroll Experience is responsible for managing financial information, preparing financial statements, and overseeing payroll processes within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and attention to detail. The Accountant will report to the Top Management and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and maintain financial records, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
2. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
3. Review and verify financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and payroll entries to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
4. Process payroll accurately and timely, following local labor laws and regulations.
5. Ensure proper withholding and remittance of payroll taxes, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions.
6. Create and maintain employee payroll records, including salaries, benefits, deductions, and bonuses.
7. Reconcile employee payroll data, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
8. Prepare payroll monthly reports, sales report (every quarter) and analyses for management and external stakeholders as required.
9. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate payroll data and projections.
10. Stay updated with payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor code requirements to ensure compliance.
11. Assist with tax compliance requirements related to payroll, including the preparation of tax return schedules and supporting documents.
12. Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
13. Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information and handle sensitive data with discretion.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
2. Minimum of 5 years and above of experience as an Accountant or similar role with specific experience in payroll processing.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and practices (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
4. In-depth understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor code requirements.
5. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Solid understanding of financial statements and their components.
8. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic will be a plus.
10. Experience with financial systems and ERP software is preferred.
11. Professional certifications such as CPA or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
