Key Responsibilities:
Create and revise detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, including:
Schematic Diagrams (power, control, and logic diagrams)
Panel Layouts and Component Layouts
Wiring Diagrams and Termination Diagrams
Cable & Conduit Schedules
Single-Line Diagrams and Riser Diagrams
Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical panels and systems.
Collaborate closely with electrical engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and markups.
Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, client specifications, and relevant electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
Participate in project meetings to review designs and incorporate feedback.
Check and redline drawings for accuracy, functionality, and potential conflicts with other trades (e.g., mechanical, plumbing).
Maintain organized project files and documentation for revision control.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):
Required:
Associate’s degree, certification in Electrical Drafting/CAD Technology, or equivalent proven experience.
3+ years of professional experience as an electrical draftsman, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD.
Solid understanding of electrical principles, components, and symbols.
Proven experience creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with electrical standards and codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing clear, error-free work.
