Job Description:

– Location: Hosur (TN – 30 Kms from Bangalore)
– Reporting To: Assistant Vice President

Purpose:

The role of the Warehouse Manager is to manage the warehouse, ensuring that all functions and are being performed efficiently, confirming to the prescribed internal controls, as laid down from time to time. He will be responsible for the timely achievement of functional parameters while managing the warehouse operations within the approved budgets/targets.

The position is therefore responsible for:

o Warehouse Operations Management
o Financial Management
o Customer Support
o Security
o IT, other Functions and all other Administration related to the warehosue
o Vendor Management
o People Management
o Infrastructure Management
o Statutory Compliance

Primary duties and responsibilities within the Region:

General Operations
o Organize all warehouse activities & assign the jobs accordingly for staff.
o Planning, organizing and controlling of Warehouse’ over-all operations.
o Review the performance of the warehouse resources against the set targets.
o Running the shifts with safety and efficiency as priorities.

Man Management:

o Ensure optimal deployment of manpower in the warehouse
o Ensure high productivity of the manpower month on month
o Training and development of the warehouse staff
o Timely review of the performance of the employees
o Ensure employee welfare measures are taken
o Ensure workplace health and safety requirements
o Make plans to develop staffs of warehouse by internal/on-job training.

Warehouse Operations Management:

o Manage stock control: receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; goods loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into system.
o Review attendance and over time working
o Send inventory report, In/Out status report, dead stock report, goods age report, consumption report, manpower status report to the Line Manager on according to set timelines
o Ensure cost reduction in all areas of warehouse transactions and activities.
o Maintaining finance and accounts records.
o Audit of labour and billing reports.

Minimum Requirement

Graduate with a minimum of 8 – 12 years experience in the similar field.

Specific Skill Sets

o Good knowledge of the principles and methods of warehouse management.
o Ability to maintain accurate inventory control records.
o Ability to estimate the amount and type of supplies, materials, and equipment needed on a periodic basis.
o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers and the general public.
o Good Communication in English, Hindi & Tamil.
o Computer Skills –Microsoft Office.
o SAP Experience – MM would be an added advantage
