Job Description:
Achievement and Excellence Company (AchevX) is recruiting for an experienced Network Engineer with experience in Routing, Switching and IP Telephony in support of the enterprise.
Primary Function:
– The Network IP Telephony Engineer will manage all engineering projects for VoIP initiatives, plan technology road maps, configuration, implementation and optimization of all aspects of VoIP/IP-PBX telephone systems, related network equipment and services.
– Responsible for design, staging, configuration, implementation, and support for VoIP installations.
– The Network IP Telephony Engineer will Responsible for installation, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all Network/IP Telephony hardware, software, and communication links.
Responsibilities:
– Research, design, plan, configure and implement new technologies IP Telephony\VoIP into current operating environment. Test and evaluate future looking technologies by participating in beta tests of given technologies.
– Assist in the design, implementation and sustaining support of IP Routing, Switching and IP Telephony Technologies.
– Creates standards and policies that impact cross-functional initiatives.
– Shares information and knowledge to assist others. Plays a strategic and operational role.
– Provides technical consultation and leadership in the design and development complex technology rollouts.
Technical Requirements:
– Experience and strong knowledge of telecommunications concept development, deployment, and support.
– Basic knowledge of legacy telecommunications systems.
– Experience and strong knowledge of VOIP and SIP protocol.
– Experience with IP telephony architecture including firewalls, IDS, VPNs, etc.
– Experience and strong knowledge of voice, data, and fiber concept development, deployment, and support.
– Experience and strong knowledge of commercial bandwidth concept development, deployment, and support.
– Experience and knowledge of network design including switching, routing, QoS and firewalls.
Qualifications:
– Minimum of + 4 years prior technology VoIP implementation and support experience with Enterprise type accounts.
– AVAYA certified.
– Experience in troubleshooting IP Routing and Switching with QoS.
– Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
– Attain CCNA, CCNP, CCNE and a VOIP/SIP certification.
– Experience with voice, video, and web collaboration technologies.
– Good strategic planning, project management, organizational and time management skills.
– Excellent communications and presentation skills.
