Job Description:
Our looking for a CNC Programmer and Operator who wants to help the business progress, someone that they can invest in and develop their skills across a range of areas.
Key responsibilities of CNC Programmer:
– Create and maintain new and existing programs for 3,4 and multi-axis machines.
– Interpret 3D CAD drawings and generate programs using CAM software.
– Interrogate and modify programs to ensure efficient and effective production of parts.
– Ensure programs are reliable in order to complete manufacturing tasks and troubleshoot any issues.
– Work with Production/Engineering teams to integrate new products into the business.
Key requirements:
– Time served engineer with experience of working in a precision engineering environment.
– Excellent knowledge of machining processes and programming languages – Samsung , Fanuc and Mitsubishi ISO controls.
– Good knowledge of design and computer software packages (ideally Pro Engineer).
– Ability to read engineering drawings and a good understanding of tolerances/dimensions.
– Knowledge of GibbsCam/SmartCam or similar CAM package.
– Good team player.
– Hands on, shop floor approach to.
