Job Description:
Technical Support Officer, required for a company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
– “Technical Support Officer” is mainly responsible for the smooth running of Wavetec Systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them.
– Technical Support Staff is responsible for new installation and providing support to existing client across the kingdom.
Responsibilities include following:
– Installing and configuring Wavetec Products Hardware, Computer hardware and setting up operating systems and applications.
– Monitoring and maintaining current system installed across the kingdom.
– Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
– Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
– Replacing hardware parts as required.
– Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
– Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
– Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
– Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs.
– Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
– Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
– Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers.
– Testing and evaluating new technology.
– Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
– Product implementation and post installation management.
Experience and Skills Required:
– Minimum 1-2years experience in networks and hardware installations.
– Excellent skills to use the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including.
– Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Visio/Project.
– Good Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server2005 and 2008, Microsoft Access 2007/2010 is highly desired.
– Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating System Platform including Window 8, Window 7, Win XP, Windows 2k8/2012 Servers.
– Bilingual, Arabic and English speaking fluently.
– Transferable Iqama.
– Valid Driving license is an added value.
