Job Description:
Estimator, required for a company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
– Attend Pre-bidding conferences and communicate with the customer for any project for fabrication and/ or erection/construction.
– Interpret plans and prepare materials take-off of materials for bidding purposes (Steel Structures and Civil related works).
– Plans and prepares schedules of work based on customer specification and drawings.
– Prepare forecasted itemized costing of materials, surface treatment, labor, man-hours and overheads for project subject for bidding.
– Co-ordinate with Production Personnel to have a feedback for comparison purpose between estimated and actual figures.
– Receiving contract inquiries from clients, and registering.
– Reviewing of inquiries, commercial, technical terms and conditions.
– Studying thoroughly projects specification and drawings to understand scope of work.
– Establish and update approved suppliers network, locally and overseas.
– Calculation for bid pricing.
– Incorporate any addendum that might be advised by client during the bid- processing period.
– Prepare and submit bid tender incorporating all necessary items, before due dates.
– Prepare and/or check any calculations, i.e. material take-off, pricing, etc. that may be required by other Department/Department-heads.
– Keep in sequence, an up to date file for all activities done.
