Safety Officer
– BA degree in relevant Engineering
– 5 years of practical industrial safety experience (mining experience preferred)
– Knowledge of accepted industrial safety practices
– Knowledge of Information Technology
– Conduct accident and fire prevention studies, recommending appropriate proactive protection measures
– Develop, implement and supervise emergency preparedness processes
– Prepare, deliver and oversee safety training
– Determine and adopt relevant international “best practices” and contribute to continuous improvement in mine safety
– Knowledge in both written and spoken English language
