Main Tasks:
• To safely conduct inspection and evaluation using UT equipment (Automatic and Manual) on pipes at assigned area of work – Online, Offline, Full body and Manual Ultrasonic.
• To perform static and dynamic calibration as required on day to day basis.
• To review ITP and MOC requirements and prepare machine pre-requisites.
• Record calibration data and prepare reports shift wise.
• Identify the defects / indication and provide necessary repair guidelines.
• Co-ordinate with shift supervisor for maintenance plan.
• MIS updating / maintain records for tubes inspected for acceptance / rejection.
• Plan preventive maintenance, attend breakdowns, and maintain spare parts and calibration standards for all NDT equipments.
• Prepare stoppage reports and update in MIS
Other Tasks
• Perform in-process; visual and dimensional inspection as required.
Min. qualifications/experiences:
• Diploma holder
• With strong work experience from ERW Steel pipe manufacturing company
• NDT Level II as per ASNT TC-1A or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Able to read, write and speak English
