Job Description:
i. To provide leadership to the manufacturing specialists and process technicians in achieving production, quality, safety and costs goals.
ii. To develop and optimize processes, moulding and manufacturing, utilizing scientific method and to provide the best quality at the lowest cost
Academic Qualification:
i. Bachelor Degree in Plastic Engineering or its equivalent
ii. At least 7 years experience in Plastic/ Pipe Extrusion and Injection Moulding is required
iii. PPE processing knowledge and process development skills, inclusive of current scientific injection moulding principles is an advantage
iv. Formal problem solving and trouble shooting skills
v. Good decision making (required to make decisions on technical and strategic issues) is important
vi. Possesses Six Sigma skills is preferred
vii. Computer Literate
viii. Lean manufacturing experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
i. Achieve departmental goals
ii. Provide daily communication with production staff regarding production and quality issues
iii. Carry out problem solving on daily production and quality issues using formal techniques to determine root cause and implement permanent corrective actions
iv. Develop and optimize moulding and manufacturing processes using scientific techniques.
v. Accurately complete all production documentation and data entry in a timely manner.
vi. Follow all 6S and safety standards and practices.
vii. Develop and manage all production documentation such as process sheets, process monitoring, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis’s, process flows, etc.
viii. Provide continuous improvement and cost savings ideas.
ix. Monitor processes for trends and implement corrective actions accordingly.
x. Train employees on scientific moulding techniques.
