Job Description:
We have required a well experienced Mechanical AutoCAD Operator for our office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
– Design general arrangements (equipments, interconnecting piping, mechanical rooms) for water and wastewater treatment plants and packages.
– Understand fully the piping and instrument diagram (symbols of equipments, instruments, piping, valves, fittings, etc…) and the civil and architectural drawings related to the plant.
– Prepare the equipments general arrangements as per technical information and recommendation received from equipments supplier.
– Route the piping as per good engineering practice (to consider accessibility, equipments and instruments maintenance requirement, piping spools installation and replacement, etc…).
– Consider in the design the pipe fittings, the equipment connection as per supplier technical information, the valves connection as per valve type and piping material specification, the instrument connection as per hook-up drawings, the appropriate pipe support type and location.
– Prepare the technical room general arrangement.
– Generate site piping BOM (bill of materials).
– Generate the fabrication drawings.
– Prepare fabrication details for skid base frame, sunshade structure, ladder and platforms structures, pipe supports, etc… as per good engineering practice and applicable client specification and standards.
– Prepare fabrication details of ASME pressure vessels and atmospheric tanks based on calculation notes and sketches prepared by design engineer.
– Understand structural steel sections, the welding details (type and symbols), the bolting details for bolted connections.
– Generate isometric and piping spools drawings with Bill of Material.
– Assist the design engineers in verification the material requests as prepared by fabrication engineers.
– Generate 3D Models.
– Prepare 3D Models based on Autocad and/or Micro station.
Miscellaneous:
– Follow the company policy and quality procedures.
– Collaborate in proactive way with design engineers.
– Develop new blocks and templates (part of engineering standardization project).
– Provide prints, soft copies of the issued drawings.
– Prepare As-Built drawings as Mark-Up drawings prepared by fabrication engineer.
– Upload issued drawings to client documentation control system.
– Prepare and submit daily time sheet.
