Job Description
Objectives:
• The Branch Manager’s main goal is to Start Generate immediate sales and revenue, Business development and to be responsible for growth & function of the branch.
• The Branch Manager will also oversee all staff and be responsible for day-to-day operational activities at the branch location.
• Implement Operational Procedures, process and Policies with the approval of H.O.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop & implement the Freight Forwarding strategy for KSA operations.
• Formulate viable product development and freight operations plan by establishing policies, procedures and best practices.
• Negotiate and build business relationships with external parties (carriers, government agencies) to improve competitiveness and quality of service to customers.
• Proactively review and understand customer/market requirements, build freight forwarding products and solutions to meet current and potential needs of the customers.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, research and market intelligence to the Management highlighting business performance, competitive landscape and recommendations for increasing revenue and improving operations.
• Review and track progress against targets; Analyze reports; recommend and implement any changes to existing plans and operating budgets.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the team; train and motivate staff; develop appropriate succession plans.
• Manage all resources to ensure optimum utilization; control items of expenditure to pre-determine budgetary levels by maintaining a prudent cost control policy.
• Responsible for all sales and business development duties including calling on accounts to increase revenue and profit. Maintain CRM per company policy, organising, leading and mentoring a small operations team across import / export / sea, air and Land freight.
• Responsible for creating new business through contact with prospective customers in the assigned market, identifying market trends and competitive rate actions.
• Responsible for other duties including sales presentations, writing sales proposing, implementation, creating and adding to existing marketing materials
• Accountability for maintaining specific KPI tasks
• Monitoring performance of all suppliers including shipping lines, airlines, vendors and overseas agents, proactively evaluating, assisting and maintaining SOP’s
• Playing a key role in customer implementation, development and retention
• Assisting the branch with knowledge pertaining to operational suggestions, requirements and or difficulties before new and existing accounts run into issues or queries
• Assessing and reporting on financial requirements & operational performance ensuring Dept. profitability.
• Formulating strategies and establishing plans to identify and source clients for import of variety of goods for trading activities, including, but not limited to, live trees, plants, roots, cut flowers, edible fruits, nuts, peel of citrus fruit, varieties of rice etc.

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of Freight Forwarding Business and all its requirements for the location and can perform, manage branch, should have 10+ years previous experience with a similar role, or be ready to take ‘the next step’.
