Job Description
– The position is responsible for performing predictive maintenance inspections scheduled in plant area sides. The primary goal of this position is to determine the condition of machinery and equipment in order to predict the appropriate time for maintenance to be performed. The Predictive Maintenance Technician will monitor and take measurements of equipment and plant systems in accordance with established predictive techniques for each issue. The technician will then conduct primary analysis of the results, proposing corrective actions, and generating the corresponding reports to include in the history of each equipment / system.
– Perform data analysis.
– Create and manage spread sheets in Microsoft Excel.
– Enter data into Oracle.
Skills:
– Basic, routine, and advanced principles of preventive maintenance to and including functional areas.
– Handles repair, overhaul, calibration, inspection and data collection, related to the skilled standard of maintenance repair of Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation plant and equipment.
– Needs minimal supervision to handle routine repair but needs some supervision for non-routine repairs.
– Strong technical skills, ability to identify potential problems, good trouble shooting skills and report capability, ability to guide technicians in simple trouble shooting and repair.
– At least 5 years hands-on experience of preventive maintenance in the relevant discipline of maintenance e.g. Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation etc. in metal industry, rolling mills experience is preferred.
– Strong technical skills, ability to identify potential problems, good trouble shooting skills and report capability, ability to guide technicians in simple trouble shooting and repair.
