Job Title: F&B Budgeting Supervisor
Job Summary:
The F&B Budgeting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the budgeting process for the Food and Beverage department within a company. The incumbent is responsible for developing budget guidelines, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, and providing insightful recommendations to ensure efficient allocation of resources and achieve financial targets. The F&B Budgeting Supervisor collaborates with other departments, such as Finance and Operations, to forecast revenue, control costs, and contribute to overall organizational success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement budgeting guidelines and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
2. Collaborate with department heads and F&B managers to gather necessary information for budget preparation.
3. Analyze historical financial data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to forecast sales, costs, and expenses.
4. Assist in the development of annual operating budgets for the Food and Beverage department and individual outlets.
5. Monitor and track expenditure against budget, identifying and investigating variances, and providing recommendations for corrective action.
6. Coordinate with Purchasing and Finance departments to ensure accurate pricing, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
7. Prepare and present periodic budget reports to management, highlighting budget performance, deviations, and areas of concern.
8. Provide financial analysis and support to F&B managers for decision-making purposes, such as menu engineering, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities.
9. Collaborate with Operations and HR departments to ensure proper labor budgeting and staffing levels.
10. Participate in the development and implementation of standard cost control procedures and protocols.
11. Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact budgeting and financial performance.
12. Conduct training and provide guidance to F&B staff on budgeting processes, cost awareness, and financial responsibility.
Requirements:
1. bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or a related role, preferably in the F&B industry.
3. Strong understanding of budgeting methodologies, financial principles, and accounting practices.
4. Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Excel for budgeting and data analysis.
5. Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and insights.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in budget preparation and monitoring.
