Job Description:
An Agency of a Leading Shipping Company is currently looking to recruit a Branch Manager for Dammam to provide leadership and direction to the branch through the implementation of the Agency’s business vision, mission and strategy to enable the Agency to be an
efficient, profitable and successful business and to achieve the company’s predefined objectives.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
– Implement upon approval from the General Manager the overall business strategies and plans, which enable the branch to achieve company objectives.
– Assist in the preparation of the branch budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget implementation of operational policies.
– Develop and maintain liaison at senior levels with port and customs authority.
– Liaise with senior management worldwide to get their understanding of, and meet, Saudi Ports and customs requirements, with an ultimate aim of improving service to valued customers.
– Assist in the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of branch activity to deliver a quality, cost-effective service to internal and external customers.
– Maintain a thorough awareness of external economic and market conditions and oversee Industry Competitors to allow informed decision-making concerning the branch’s business strategy.
– Ensure the effective achievement of the branch’s functional objectives through the leadership of its departments.
– Selling individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
Skills:
– University Graduate.
– With at least 7 years managerial experience in either commercial or operational role.
– Expert knowledge of industry operating standards, policies and procedures.
– Well networked within the business community and fully aware of the market and competitors With strong leadership, analytical and time management skills.
– Effective verbal and written communication skills.
