VDI Engineer – VMware/Horizon has a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures related to Client Management platforms.
Incumbents are competent to work on highly complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support activities.
Supports Client Management applications and patches deployment for Windows workstations and patch deployment for Wintel servers.
Monitoring and maintenance of the Client Management infrastructure is also in scope.
Job Duties:
VDI: Leveraging VMware ESX Hypervisor / Horizon Suite (Design, Implementation, Configuration & Support aspects).
Solid Experience with UEM, AppVolumes, CloudPod, and Cloud Implementation
Solid administrative/troubleshooting skills with VDI leveraging: pools, linked-clones, gold image, customization, HA, DR, etc.
Good understanding of VSAN & EMC storage, ESXi Hypervisor, and vCenter
Software automation/Scripting (VBScript/PowerShell)
Change Management Process
Patch Management
Running Client Management Reports
Implementing test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans
Qualifications, Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or industry standard certification in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 4 years of strong implementation/support experience with VDI using VMware products (View/Horizon).
Management leveraging some of these types of technologies SCCM/Casper).
NOTE: Candidate with transferable Iqama will be considered.
